In my previous post I wrote about my Eczema. That it was away for a long time, unlit I moved to the US, Georgia to be specific and it came back after a month or two. I started doubting myself. Why did it come back? Was it because of the totally different life I have here? Do I maybe not like this life? I was searching for answers on the question why my Eczema was back on a physiological field. I couldn't find an answer there.
I started searching on the internet for answers. "What could cause Eczema?" I think a lot of people searched for the same, because I got a lot of information. A lot where in line with my thoughts, physiological. After searching a bit longer I found an article about the effect of water on our skin. Unhealthy water could cause Eczema! Since we moved from Europe, we were drinking the tap water here in Georgia, like we used to do.
I bought a shower filter and started drinking only filtered water from now on. After about 2 weeks the Eczema on my arm was almost gone! I am using the filter for about 2 months now and my arm looks perfectly fine, the other Eczema is almost gone now too! It took about 3 months to develop the Eczema and it was there for more than a year, so I was not expecting it to be gone in a week.
Isn't it unbelievable! If you have Eczema yourself, you would understand you would do anything to get rid of it. I am definitely not going to say you cure Eczema with filtered, Healthy Drink Water. But I am going to say, think about it and try a shower filter. It turns out that our skin absorbs water through taking a shower. And if you look at this list of containments that could be in our tap water, I am so glad I found out about this and use a filter now:
Lead, a heavy metal
Atrazine, a chemical
Pathogens, an organism
Chlorine, a chemical
Arsenic, a chemical
Nitrates, a chemical
Radioactive contaminants
Vinyl chloride, a chemical
Perchlorate, a chemical
Pharmaceuticals, shocking!
Isn't this a shocking list!
We bought the Shower Filter from Benicci. It is said to have a superior 15-stage filter with alkaline ceramic balls, Vitamin C and coconut activated carbon level.
It has a lot of good reviews, a spare filter and looks nice, not very unimportant to us at least.
It was very easy to install. The filter needed to be drained/ filled with water first, before using it.
My intention is not to promote this filter in the first place. There are a lot of other good filters out there. I just hope that if you suffer from Eczema as well, you find this post useful, research a bit about the effect of water on Eczema and please try a shower filter and a tap drink water filter yourself.
It is not that expensive and to be honest, how much isn't worth to get rid of the itchiness, the redness, the... I can continue. Help yourself and try it. Explore this website for more information about Healthy Drink Water and I made some reviews about water filters if you are interested. For example this Water Pitcher.
I truly hope it would help you! Please let met know if it does!
